The Children’s Museum Chair-ity Auction and Dinner is held annually and truly is a great event! Our thanks to our community for helping us Build a Brighter Future for the children and families in our region.
The proceeds from the auction go directly to the operational costs of keeping our museum open. The Children’s Museum of Skagit County opened our doors in October of 2003 and we continue to grow. To date we have had over 800,000 visitors, and average over 1,000 annual memberships!! We’ve hosted birthday parties, field trips, evening and corporate events and special classes each month. We also have a strong scholarship program, to support the most vulnerable children and families.
Although our beloved Children’s Museum has been open in 2022, we are not yet able to operate at full speed. We need the proceeds from the auction to provide much-needed support for our operational budget as well as our Scholarship Programs. Other key programs of the Museum include the Museum Explorer Preschool, the Help Me Grow Skagit Family Resource Center and the Museum’s role in providing space and resources for many community programs.
The Children’s Museum of Skagit County, one of the Valley’s premier spots just for children, their families and educators, will be hosting a hybrid 19th Annual Chair-ity Auction beginning on September 2nd for Silent items, plus an in-person celebration with Live Auction on Saturday, September 10, 2022. For sponsors, this means that your sponsorship will have even greater visibility and impact. The in-person event will be held at the Children’s Museum, which will make it an exciting opportunity to be part of the unique facility, and highlight the important work of the museum! Your support is incredibly important this year!
Proceeds from the 19th Annual Chair-ity Auction will go towards educational programs and operations at the museum, which are vital to our continued success. The live and silent auction will feature trips, gift certificates, experiences, chairs, paintings, baskets, plus some scrumptious desserts. Our Fund-A-Need will be the Scholarship Program, which continues to serve critical needs for children and their families.
